Rick and Roxanna Moss opened Moss Overland in 1971 selling small trailers and mobile homes. The name Overland was inspired by Rick’s family story. In the early 1940’s, Rick’s Father, Ray Moss, began building some of the first ever travel trailers by hand. Later, they would use these trailers to travel to Arizona by caravan in order to escape the Oklahoma dust bowl. Our name and covered wagon logo serve to honor the pioneer spirit.
Rick and Roxanna loved to experiment with floor plans from the very beginning. They were interested in creating the most functional and inviting space possible in reasonably sized homes. Early in the 1980’s, Rick and Roxanna partnered with Cavco to create what is now known as the modern park model. Many of the floor plans used today were based on their creations. This makes Moss Overland the oldest and longest Cavco park model dealer.
The family legacy continues at Moss Overland with Rick & Roxanna’s daughters – Shelly and Rebecca. The sisters are determined to lead the industry with continued elevation of the modern park model. Innovative design has and continues to be a cornerstone of Moss Overland with unique and custom floor plans. Although we are primarily focused on finding the perfect home for each customer, we also offer extensive knowledge and resources for each step of the process – permitting, transporting, etc. Moss Overland has assisted thousands of families over 50 years. Today, Moss Overland continues to provide a great product and excellent customer service at a fair price.
